She was predeceased by: her husband Julius Carroll Gardner; her son James Carroll "Jimmy" Gardner; and her son-in-law Patrick Henry "Pat" Richard. She is survived by: her children, Ronnie Gardner (Paula) and Fleta Richard; her daughter-in-law Wanda Gardner; and her grandchildren, Josh Gardner (Hilarie), Caleb Gardner (Sarah Ellen), Abbie Ballew (Brad), Hannah R. Coody (Andrew), Frank Richard, Joseph Gardner (Jocelyn) and Dow Gardner. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
