She was predeceased by: her husband Jackson Wallsworth Stringfellow "J. W."; her parents, James Jackson and Lillie Mae Jackson; and her brothers, Fred Jackson and Houston Jackson.

She is survived by: her daughter Linda Griggers (James); her grandsons, Christopher Scott Griggers (Missy) and James Daniel Griggers (Scarlett); and her nieces, Sandra Shirley and Mabel Till. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
