She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Cleveland Nicholas and Bessie Dees Nicholas; her brother Dr. Walter Clay Nicholas; her nephew Thomas H. Nicholas; and her cousins, Ernestine E. Kelly and Riley N. Kelly.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Elizabeth "Beth" Snellgrove Chastain and John Nicholas Snellgrove (Annette) of Greenville; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Chastain Johnson (David) of Fairhope, Dock Chastain (Eileen) of Springfield, Oregon and Caroline Snellgrove of Birmingham; her great grandchildren, Owen, Collin, Reid and Sawyer Johnson of Fairhope; and her husband Don.
