He is survived by: his wife Anne Herbert Feathers; his niece Laurie Smith Sikorowski; his nephews, Robert Carey Smith and David Wayne Smith; his sister-in-law Curtis Burke Herbert, IV; his sister Rose Feathers Smith (Carey Charles Smith); his nephew Patrick Charles Smith; and also, Mary Lou Herbert, Sarah Elizabeth Herbert and Curtis Burke Herbert.
