He was predeceased by: his parents, Hosie L. Wood and Lurline Smith Wood; his son Patrick Wood; his granddaughter Kristen Ward Taylor; and his siblings, James "Buck" Douglas Wood, Nell Murphy, Montez Green and Sara Fuller.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Wood; his children, Donna Ward (Gerry), Susan Lowery (Mike) and Michael Wood; and his brother John H. Wood. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
