With heavy hearts, we announce the death of JoAnn Cooper Johnson of Greenville, Alabama, who passed away on December 20, 2022 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John William and Fannie Newton Cooper; and her siblings, Cecil Cooper, John Golson Cooper and Edna Sue Sims.

She is survived by: her husband Joseph Johnson; her children, Jason Johnson (Denise) and Jeanine Johnson Thornton (Steve); and her grandchildren, Christopher Joseph Johnson, Sean Preston Johnson, Rebekah Frances Thornton, Michael Trevor Thornton and Asher Elizabeth Thornton. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Alabama Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association.
