He is survived by: his daughter Sabrina Layton Nimmer (Jason); his grandchildren, Nicholas James Nimmer, Anna Claire Nimmer, Ashley Catherine Nimmer and Allison Cameron Nimmer of Spanish Fort, Alabama; and his siblings, Melvin Layton, Sr. and Maezell Owens of Marion, Mississippi. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
