He was predeceased by: his brothers, Rufus Adams, Leon Adams and Raymond Adams; and his parents, Colvin Wood Adams and Effie Lee Adams.
He is survived by: his granddaughters, Cheryl Lurie of Dothan, Alabama. and Dianne Tolbert; and his great grandchildren, Jay Lurie (McCall) of Nashville, Tennessee. and Kim Byrne (Robert) of Orlando.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Antioch East Cemetery Fund or First Baptist Church of Greenville.
