She was predeceased by: her husband Elmore Thompson; her parents, Durwood McCalman and Joy McCalman; and her brother John McCalman. She is survived by: her close friend Ronnie Miller; her daughters, Cara (David Wood), Michelle (Jay Vohra), April (Alan Milby) and Amy (Brian Castleberry); her stepson Danny; her daughter-in-law Ramona Thompson of Buford, GA; her grandchildren, Dalton Gregory (Julia), Michael Gregory (Haley), Erin Velo (Jerwin), Anna Wood, Payton, Kaitlyn, Allison Castleberry, Adams Thompson and Mallory Mueller (Pete); her brother Ronnie McCalman (Ellen); her sister-in-law Phyllis McCalman; her children, Janelle Roper, Norma Johnson, Stephanie Head, Cornelius Powell, Mary Crenshaw, Angeline Stanton, Monica Smith, Tammy Rios, Lisa Garlock, Lori Miller and Melisa Mote; and her grandsons, Hunter Gregory, Cole Milby, Cameron Milby and Jerwin Velo. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Southside Baptist Church (211 King St, Greenville, AL 36037). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
