He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Garrard of Lawrenceburg and Mollie Garrard of Lawrenceburg; and his sisters, Augzelle Bean and Shirley Garrard. He is survived by: his brother Bob Garrard; his wife Bette Garrard; his children, Ben Garrard (Kimberly) and Abigail Walker (Wade); his grandchildren, Zachary Walker, Lucas Garrard and Harper Garrard; and also Greenville.
