She is survived by: her son Johnny Ray Maddox (Mitzi) of Montgomery, AL; her grandchildren, Merri Paden (Scott) of Hodges, SC and Adam Maddox (Ginger) of Auburn, AL; her great grandchildren, Luke, Grant Paden, Kaitlin, Molly and Ryan Maddox; and her sisters, Sylvia Edgar of Eutaw, AL, Charlotte Spann (Donnie) of Honoraville, AL, Sandra Lohrisch (David) of Jackson, MS and Peytie Bowen (Gerald) of Montgomery, AL. She is also survived by her family, friends.
She was awarded the 2023 Spirit of Greenville Award from the Greenville Area Chamber of Commerce for her civic work, volunteer service, and lifelong contributions to the community.
