She was predeceased by: her parents, Manley Tidwell and Francis Tidwell; her former husband Charles Parkel; and her stepsons, Charles Parkel, Jr. and Jim Parkel.
She is survived by: her daughters, Yvonne Parkel of Auburndale and Joanie Jackson of Fredericksburg, Virginia; her close friends, Sharon and John Jay; her daughter Joan; and her husband Winston Pitman. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, plus numerous nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Oakwood Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 68, Greensboro, AL 36744.
