He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Erwin Burt of Greensboro, AL and Gwen Thompson Burt of Tuscaloosa; his aunt Martha T. Johnson of Baton Rouge, LA; and his sister Bethany Oden of Hattiesburg, MS.. He is survived by: his stepmother Dotty Corley Oden Burt of Greensboro, AL; his siblings, Gary Burt of Greensboro, AL, Martha Joyce Burt of Tuscaloosa, AL and Amy Oden Simpson of Cumberland Gap, TN; his nephews, Craig Varnado (Allysia) of Brandon, MS and Sidney Simpson of Cumberland Gap, TN.; his niece Corley Kreiter; his uncle Jimmie Johnson of Baton Rouge, LA; and his cousins, Sherry J. Patton (Jeff) and Mark Johnson (Debra) of Baton Rouge.
