He is survived by: his wife Voncille Rudder Battle; his brother Lullum Jefferson Battle (Carolyn); his sons, Crawford Arrington Battle, Jr. (Lori), David Woodson Battle (Laura) and William Froman Battle (Kim); his grandchildren, William Andrew Battle (Laura) and Amber Leigh Battle; his great grandchild Aurora Leigh Battle; and his stepchildren, Ronald Keith Causey, John Kenneth Causey and Kathy Causey Knudsen (John).
