He was predeceased by: his daughter Alicia James; his parents, Wilma Earnestine and Walker Theodore James; and his siblings, Buddy, Norman, Patty, Etheleen and Melvy.
He is survived by: his wife Katherine Harding James; his children, Kenneth (Kathey), John (Laura), Jeff (Leigh) and Bubba James (Laura); his grandchildren, Kara (Jerrid), Kyle (Tabbi), Lil, Eddie (Olivia), Cheyenne (James), Audrey (Addison), Caleb, Taylor, Korbin and Dylan; his great grandchildren, Madison, Lexi, Scarlett, Saylor, Summer, Lillian and Maeve; his siblings, Myrtice (Darryl), Darlene (Tony), Wilma, Doris (Gary), Tency (Frances), Brenda (Dewayne) and John Barney; and his siblings-in-law, Lynne Melton (Toni), Howard, Mike (Mary), Larry Harding and Mac Crocker (Kerrie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended families and many friends.
