He was predeceased by: his wife Marie. He is survived by: his sons, John W. Mayes, Jr. (Christine), Kenny Mayes (Candice) and Darrell Mayes (Sabrina); his grandchildren, Marissa, Alainah, Matthew, Nataleigh, Austin, Evan, Cody, Leah, Kylan and Elijah; and his great grandchildren, Emma and Noah.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Berryhill Funeral Home & Crematory (2305 Memorial Pkwy NW, Huntsville, AL 35810). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
