He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Brooks; his parents, Leslie Brooks and Nettie Brooks; and his brothers, Norman Brooks, Mike Brooks and Glenn Brooks.
He is survived by: his daughter Valerie L. Christian-Abraham (Eddie); his siblings, Barbara Moyer, Becky Foster (Lanier) and Thomas Brooks (Kathy); and his nieces and nephews, Meredith Bynum (Dustin), Drew, Travis, John Michael McPhail, Jr. (Lisa) and Della McPhail.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the New Hope Funeral Home (2500 Oak Grove Rd, New Hope, AL 35760). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the New Hope Funeral Home Chapel (2500 Oak Grove Rd, New Hope, AL 35760). A burial was held on Friday, October 18th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Bethel Cemetery (156 Keel Hollow Rd, New Hope, AL 35760).
