He was predeceased by: his wife Charlotte Ellen Jackson; his parents, Charlie Jackson and Marjorie Jackson; and his brother Millard Jackson. He is survived by: his children, Elaine Christian, Becky Brown and Gregory Jackson; his grandchildren, Melissa (Will), Jennifer (Sean), Diane (David), Michele, Allen and Katherine (Lyn); and his brother Alton Jackson (Flo). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
