It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Sue Benefield of Grand Bay, Alabama, who passed away on September 1, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Harvey Williams and Mae Jewel Barnes Williams. She is survived by: her husband Herbert Benefield, Jr.; her children, Robin Stringfellow, Ricky Benefield (Debra) and Hollie Ladnier (Charlie); her grandchildren, Tommy Ladnier (Audrey), Jonathan Benefield (Christina), Kenny Ladnier (Kaitie Mae), Maegen Conaway (Mike), Lindsey Wilbur (Doug), Joseph Ladnier (Amanda), Caleb Stringfellow (Kristin Nedley), Beth Wheeler (Justin) and Zack Ladnier; her great grandchildren, Gabby, Gracy, Gauge, George, Madelynn, Skylar, Becky, Ava, Harper, Seth, Everett, Sarah and Katherine; and her sister Judy Benefield (Bubba). She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Because Peggy's church was so dear to her heart in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her loving memory to the First Baptist Church Grand Bay-Building Note.
