He was predeceased by: his parents, John Leon Sims and Edna Mae "Tootsie" Sims. He is survived by: his wife Annette Womack Sims; his son Todd Sims; his grandchildren, Maegan Marie Sims (Will) and Brianna Michelle Sims; his great grandchildren, Everly Grace Spurlin and Walker Leon Spurlin; and his sister Donna Ruth Sims of St. Petersburg, Florida. He is also survived by many friends and other relatives.
