He was predeceased by: his parents, Columbus Richie and Stella Weaver Richie; and his siblings, Clarence Richie, Wade "Bo" Richie, Robert "Bobby" Richie, Ruby Tousey, Jessie Philyaw and Carolyn Philphot.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Harville Richie of Grand Bay, AL; his children, Joshua Richie (Joann) of Mobile, AL, Jason David Richie (Alicia) of Creola, AL, Ryan Holmes (Pamela) of Coden, AL, Darren Pass (Tasha) of Springville, AL, Tabatha Ross (Jesse) of Pascagoula, MS and Shawn Johnson of Springville, AL; and his sisters, Mary Owen of Foley, AL, Lucille O'Dell (Pete) of Grand Bay, AL, Bertha Cooley of Grand Bay, AL and Martha Roger Brewton of Creola, AL. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
