He is survived by: his children, Dianne Fleming and David E. Fleming, Jr. (Marita Fleming); his grandchildren, Anna, Madeline and Jonathan Fleming; his sister Dorothy Fleming Hicks (Charles Edward Hicks); his nephews, David Carlton Hicks (Theresa Edwards Hicks) and Richard Lawrence Hicks; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Bridgette Nicole Lee (Brandon Lee), Lisa S. Hicks, David Michael Hicks (Dana Hicks), Christopher Allen Hicks (Jennifer Hicks) and Edward M. Hicks (Del Marie Hicks); his close friend Buck Dyals; and his grandchildren, Tyler Newell, Josie Newell and Beckem Arceneaux.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the More Life Church (12471 Creel Rd, Grand Bay, AL 36541). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at the Valhalla Memorial Gardens (8730 Sims Rd, Eight Mile, AL 36613).
