He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew S. Hood, Sr. and Myra B. Hood; his siblings, James "Buddy" Williams, Ruth Williams, Alda "Tootsie" McDaniel and Anna Margaret Raley; and the mother of his children Anita Hood.

He is survived by: his children, Cary Hood and Tamye Stork (Deneil); and his grandchildren, Austin Hood, Jacob Hood, Wade Maples, David Stork (Blake), Taneile Cooper (Darione) and Jentezen Stork. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and other family and friends.
