She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard W. Howell and Laxie Mullins Howell; her husband Jimmy Hayes; her sons, Leonard Levon Hayes and David Anthony Hayes; and her sister Martha Howell.

She is survived by: her children, Glendean Hayes Harris, Jimmy Eugene Hayes, Billy Ray Hayes, Debra Kay Webb, Mitchell Gregory Hayes (Jennifer), Alice Rena' King (Gil Bowie) and Tony Zapeda. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
