He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Clayton Cosper and Gladys Turner Cosper; his wife Bernice Rogers Cosper; his sons, Larry Cosper and Philip Cosper; and his siblings, Floyd Cosper, Julian Cosper and Margaret Cunningham.
He is survived by: his sons, Barry Cosper (Cathy) and Paul Cosper (Jackie); his grandchildren, Melissa Gerrish, Brandy Huey, Brooke Corlett, Melinda Williams, Clay Cosper and Liz Spradlin; and also, Mary Catherine Kitchens, Carolyn Vowell and Betty Gray. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking donations be made in memory to Bessemer Baptist Association/Season of the Savior fund, 750 Montclair Road, Birmingham, AL 35213.
