Ethel Bigham Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ethel Bigham (Grady, Alabama), born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, who passed away on January 28, 2020 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Grady Bigham; her son David Bigham; her parents, Jeff Sanford and Eva Falls Sanford; her granddaughters, Margaret Logan Watson and Shannon LaGrone; her great grandchildren, Jason Swann, Ana-Jill Zaner and Tyler Bigham; her siblings, Mae Hallman, Modie Keeth, Lillie Oswalt, Trannie Keith, Myrtie Lee Hallman, Pearlie Duren, Early Sanford, Thomas Sanford, Junior Sanford and Ernest Sanford; her children-in-law, Morris Goins, Raymond LaGrone and Angela Bigham; and her grandson-in-law Mike Davis.

She is survived by: her children, Leon Bigham of Samantha, Loretta Logan (Ben) of Fayette, Lorene Goins of Tuscaloosa, Martha Watson (Beryl), Carolyn Chism (Mike), Sheila Rice (Bill) of Northport, Sharon O'Brien (Bob) of Birmingham, Linda LaGrone and Judy Hicks (Bill) of Atlanta; her siblings, James Sanford of Northport, Chester Sanford of Northport, Nathan Sanford (Kathy) of Northport, Florence Lashley (James) of Eutaw and Florene Galese (John) of Birmingham; her niece Cathy Rogers; her sons-in-law, Bill Rice, Bill Hicks and Mike Chism; her grandsons, Russ LaGrone, Jeremy Bigham, Zach Chism and Tim Watkins; and her great grandchild Nicholas Davis. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 31 great- great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
