It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgil R. Boutwell of Goshen, Alabama, who passed away on August 23, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Edna Boutwell; his parents, Leroy Boutwell and Maggie Ruth Moore Boutwell; his siblings, Ruth Boutwell, Rex Boutwell and Yvonne Hughes; and his sister-in-law Jennice Boutwell.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Linda Greer (Donnie), Carlos Dean (Grace), Will Dean, Cathy Canant (Robert) and Mike Dean (Helen); his grandchildren, Tony Greer, Kevin Dean, Trinia Riddle, Chessie Canant, Dusty Dean and Faith Dean; and his siblings, Patsy Matthews (Charles), Dan Boutwell and Ann Holley (Rick). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
