He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Rushing and Susie Emma Rushing; and his siblings, Olan Rushing, Betty Jean Haisten, Billy Rushing, Sue Pyron and John Rushing.
He is survived by: his wife Julanne W. Rushing; his sons, Larry Rushing, Jr. of Troy and Gary Michael Rushing (Paula) of Troy; his grandchildren, Bailey Nicole Rushing, Hayden Elizabeth Rushing, Grace Merilee Rushing and Ally Madeline Rushing; and his siblings-in-law, Benny Pyron and Kathy Rushing. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
