He was predeceased by: his father M. R. Carlisle; and his brother Robert M. Carlisle. He is survived by: his mother Willie Lou Carlisle; his siblings, David Carlisle (Darlene), Gloria Reeves (Dennis), Mike Carlisle (Rita) and Susan Carlisle (Kenny Crenshaw); and his sister-in-law Cheryl Carlisle. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
