He was predeceased by: his daughters, Brenda Sue Young and Charlene Melanie Riedling; his parents, Woodrow Wilson and Lillie May Messick; and his son-in-law Earl Pyle.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Messick; his daughters, Bonnie Lou Pyle of Mississippi and Vickie Snyder of Maryland; his stepchildren, Trissya Chatterton (Robert), Paul Pollock and Steven Pollock; and his sisters, Shirley Ann Vickers and Joyce Richardson. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105).
