It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Carlson of Gordon, Alabama, born in Woburn, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 24, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, August Carlson and Barbra Carlson; and his brother Norman Carlson. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Hart Carlson; his children, Dianna Harper (Stacy), Tammy Thurman (Jeff) and Richard Carlson Jr. (Mandi); his grandchildren, Kellan Bryan, Chase Thurman, Mallory Harper, Hayden Harrison, Hunter Harper, Jacie Thurman, Sara Anne Harper, Ella Carlson, Lydia Carlson and McKenna Carlson; and his great grandchildren, Cooper Bryan and Carson Bryan. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews and special friends.
The family will be accepting flowers and/or donations to the Building Fund at Selma Baptist Church, Dothan, AL.
