She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Brown and Effie Lou Isler Brown; her husbands, Almer Hayes and Dan Phillips; her son Jerry Hughes; and her siblings, Ida, Flossie Fulton, Fred, Melvin, Jay and Robert Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Pauline Benton (Eugene), Kathy Hilliard and Michael Hayes. She is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
