He was predeceased by: his brother Clarence Richard Byars, Sr.; his nephew Seth Richards; and his parents, Clarence Adron Byars and Lavada Shaw Byars. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Ponds Byars; his daughter April Adair (Jodie); his sisters, Clara Jean Patterson (Dennis Earl), Mildred Tilley (Vernice) and Shelia Richards (Byron); his sister-in-law Virginia Byars; and his grandsons, Luke Cassity and Caleb Adair.
