With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thurmon Jerry Taunton (Gordo, Alabama), who passed away on December 4, 2019 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sons, Robert Taunton and Jerry Taunton; his siblings, Martha Barkley, Charles Taunton and Gary Taunton; and his parents, Jack Dempsey Taunton and Leola Peacock Taunton.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Smith Taunton; his children, Tabitha Shultz (Brian), Cindy Clark (Michael) and Lonnie Edwards (Wendy); his siblings, Brenda Hobbs (Earl), Linda Carman (Dan), Wanda Ussery (Randy), Cecil Taunton (Gail) and Hallie Taunton; his grandchildren, Madeline Weaver, Abby Molina (Alvaro), William Weaver, Jay Burton (Liz), Nikki Barrett (Michael), Jonah and Noah; and his great grandchildren, Riley, Hunter, Will, Justin and Summer.
