He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Rebecca Bradshaw Powell; his siblings, James Boyd Powell, John Howard Powell, William Craft Powell, James Coleman Powell, Jr., Wallace Doyle Powell, Herman Anderson Powell, Mary Catherine Powell, Alice Louise Powell, Hattie Marie Powell and Doris Powell; his stepson Alvin Agerton; and his parents, James Coleman Powell, Sr. and Hatie E. Craft Powell.
He is survived by: his sons, David Powell (Angie) and Tim Powell (Alice); his grandchildren, Haley Miller (Christopher), Alison Powell, Zach Powell (Laura) and Drew Powell (Paul Agerton); his great grandchildren, Avery McAteer and Addyson McAteer; and his sister-in-law Betty Ruth Schultz (Mayo).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Bethesda Cemetery Fund, 344 Maughan Road, Gordo, AL 35466.
