He was predeceased by: his former wife Jerri Lancaster Baines; his brothers, Jimmy Dan Baines and John David Baines; and his parents, Joe William Baines and Doris Huff Baines.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Kirk Baines; his daughter Leigh Ann Sherer (Michael); his grandchildren, Jamison Kirk Williamson, Jacey Lynne Burns and Mikaela Noel Simmons (Blake); his great grandchild Brantley Simmons; his nieces, Sheri Boyington (Brian) and Sandi Wyatt (Heath); his great-nieces, Ashley Baines, Allie Baines, Hailey Wyatt and Jenna Marie Wyatt; his nephew Shannon Baines (Sharon); his great-nephews, Austin, Aaron Baines and Bryson Boyington; his pets, Joe, Cash, Gilby, Jasper and Charlie; and also Ricky.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the New Hope Methodist Church (8104 Co Rd 57, Gordo, AL 35466).
