He is survived by: his wife Valerie Pinion Smith of Gordo; his mother Jackie Kirk Ray of Northport; his daughters, Caroline Smith of Tuscaloosa and Heather Spencer of East Haddam, CT; his stepson Joseph Pinion; his siblings, Wiley Scott "Scotty" Smith of Northport and Shelly Smith of Tuscaloosa; and his grandchildren, Natalie, Gabriel, Penelope and Benjamin.
