He was predeceased by: his wife Judy Lane Shirley; his siblings, Dudley, Donald, Danny Ray, Howard Shirley and Dorothy Pogue; and his parents, Charlie Shirley and Sarah Fife Shirley.
He is survived by: his children, Krystal Harbin (Jason) of Moundville and Lloyd Shirley (Missey) of Gordo; his siblings, Edward Shirley (Jean), Donnie Nell Jones and Jane Holman; his sisters-in-law, Annette Shirley and Mary Lou Shirley; his grandchildren, Challise Shirley Bolam (Jesse), Kylar Driggers (Amery), Jayci Harbin Drake (Trent) and Lyndsie Harbin Cook (Jake); and his great grandchildren, Miles Bolam, Reid Bolam, Dean Drake, Saylor Cook and Jac Cook.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Mt. Olivet "Beaver Dam" Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund.
