He was predeceased by: his former wife Hazel Junkin Mullenix; his granddaughter Stephanie Ann Mullenix; his siblings, Herbert Mullenix, Joe Mullenix and Mable Rich; and his parents, Dock Davis Mullenix and Hummie Hall Mullenix.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Ruth "Dot" Mullenix; his son Steve Mullenix (Sherry) of Gardendale; his stepson Doug Robertson (Kathy) of Bolton, MS; his grandchildren, Dr. Alan Mullenix (Lexi Pasi), Lauren Hurst of Gardendale and Erin Nicholas of Boston, MA; his great grandchildren, Liam Hurst of Gardendale and Saoirse Pasi; his brother-in-law Gerald Junkin (Bonnie) of Northport; and his nieces and nephews, Jason Mullenix of Gordo, Kevin of Gordo, Myra Mullenix of Gordo, Susan of Gordo, Micky Pate of Gordo, Keith of Gordo, Deborah Mullenix of Gordo, Jennifer and Shawn Syx of Canton, GA..
