She was predeceased by: her husband Alvin Ewell Wheat, Sr.; and her brothers, William K. Driver and Tommy Mitchel Driver. She is survived by: her children, Lisa Ann Wheat Allen (Earl Allen) and Alvin Ewell Wheat, Jr. (Mark Armburst); her sisters, Brenda Barron (Troy Barron) and Traci Boyd (Rick Boyd); her grandchildren, Joshua K. Shuman and Meghan E. Dearen (Patrick Dearen); and her great grandchildren, Angel G. Robertson, Ethan C. Dearen and Avin D. Dearen.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
