He was predeceased by: his stepmother Mamie Faye Poole; and his brother Jamie Poole. He is survived by: his wife Kim Shepherd Poole; his son Josh Poole (Stephenie); and his siblings, Denita Poole Joyce and Derrick Poole. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
