It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janie Mildred Powell of Gordo, Alabama, who passed away on September 14, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Wallace Doyle Powell; her siblings, Odean Ammons Fondren (Carl), Quinton Ammons (Mavis), William "Toby" Ammons and James Ammons (Lillian); and her nephew Carl James Fondren.
She is survived by: her daughter Terrie Powell Alexander (Tim); her grandchildren, Neel Alexander and Jan Alexander Sharp (Brandon); her great grandchild Finn Alexander Carl Sharp; and her nieces, Mary Fondren Lackman (Luke), Aubrey Fondren Biehn, Denise Ammons Walker, Lanelle Ammons Neel (Allen) and Janie Ammons. She is also survived by great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
