He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Hollie Norris; his brother Clifton Walters (Ruth); and his parents, Vannie Isaiah Walters and Mary Catherine Latham Walters. He is survived by: his wife Nina P. Walters; his children, Kathy Walters Woodard (Chuck), Suzanne Walters Norris (Greg) and Jeff Walters (Connie) of Gordo, AL; his siblings, Raiford Walters (Ruby), Mac Walters (Annie), Jewell Manion (Larry) and Velma Sturdivant (Buddy); his grandchildren, Dusty Woodard, Jake Woodard, Cason Norris, Ethan Walters (Tiffany) and Riley Moffet (Casey); and his great grandchildren, Charleigh Woodard, Eli Woodard and Rhett Moffet.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to Springhill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
