It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Powell (Gordo, Alabama), who passed away on November 25, 2019, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his daughter Cynthia Powell; his siblings, Sammy Powell (Rebecca) and Bernice Comerford (Hayes); and his sister-in-law Jean Powell. He is survived by: his wife Christine Estes Powell; his daughters, Denise Trull (Randolph) and Robin Edgeworth (Freddie); his siblings, Sabra Nelson (Mac), Mary Parham (Max) and Joe Powell; his grandchildren, Justin Trull (Kasey), Brent Edgeworth (Brittany) and Callen McHenry (Garrett); and his great grandchildren, Kacen McHenry, Eli Trull, Mary Powell Trull, Hadley McHenry, Ann Parie Trull and Brentley McHenry.
