She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence A. Nickoles; her brothers, Hayward James (Jean) and Glenn James (Elsie Nell); and her parents, William Lester James and Pearl Porter James.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Huff (Mike) of Fayette and Eddie Nickoles (Karen) of Birmingham; her siblings, Joyce Oglesby (Kenneth) of Columbus, MS, Ralph James of Jacksonville, FL, Clayton James (June) of Columbus, MS and Paul James (Jewell) of Meridian, MS; her grandchildren, Jeff, Steven and Michelle; and her great grandchildren, Jonathan, George, Vivian, Hunter, Catherine, John, Jared and Marie.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children's Hospital Memorial Giving. 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
