He was predeceased by: his parents, Acie Brake and Queenie Brooks Brake of Megargel; and his siblings, Ralph Brake, Quentin Brake, Dalphard Brake, Annie Mae Pipkin, Allice Brake Clark and Lucy Brake Ridgley.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Qualls Brake; his daughters, Debbie Scott (Rob) of Eliska, Ginnie Hood (Bobby) of Monroeville and Diane Brake Everette of Andalusia; his sister Betty Brake Coleman of Perry, GA; his grandchildren, Brian Cumbie (Heidie) of Greenville, SC, Erik Hood (Barbara) of Daphne, Robyn Scott Gentry (Jon) of Williamsburg, VA, Leigh Ann Everette Parker (Cody) of Auburn, Mary Catherine Hood Bailey (Jessie) of Daphne and John Everette (Lindsey Gindl) of Pensacola, FL; his stepgranddaughter Jennifer Scott Thompson (Dan) of Auburn; his nephew Ricky; and his niece Janie Qualls Wilkins. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
