It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mittie L. Howell of Goodwater, Alabama, who passed away on December 16, 2020, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Ward Howell; her parents, Walter Shurette and Barbara Shurette; and her siblings, Sarah Bagley, Ollie Ogle, Gladys Satterfield, Alvin Shurette and Oscar Shurette.
She is survived by: her children, William "Billy" Howell (Sandra) of Clay Co, Jerry Howell (Brenda) of Goodwater and Dorothy L. Higginbotham (Wesley) of Sylacauga; and her sister Louise Cochran of Socaptoy. She is also survived by grandchildren, a host of loved grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
