He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Jacobs Sr. and Mary Lois Taylor Jacobs; and his siblings, Leon Taylor, Raymond Jacobs Jr., Bettey Joe Taylor, Henry Jacobs and William Jacobs.
He is survived by: his wife Lelia Jacobs of Goodwater, AL; his children, Jennifer Norris (Alfred) of Goodwater, AL and Melvin Jacobs Jr. (Okesha) of Montgomery, AL; his siblings, Elliott Jacobs, Marie Jacobs– Kendrick, Jimmy Jacobs and Carolyn Johnson; his grandchildren, Jazlyn Jacobs (Meathead), Arianna Harrell and Layla Norris (Squirmy); and his great grandchild Jaxson Jacobs Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
