He was predeceased by: his parents, William H. Buchanan and Naomi Smith Buchanan Saddler; his brother Chris Buchanan; and his stepbrother Daniel Saddler. He is survived by: his wife Mary Buchanan; his brother Alvin Buchanan (Donna); his stepson Wayne Smith; his stepgrandchildren, Brandon Smith, Jason Smith, Kayla Smith and Kaitlyn Bishop (William); his stepfather Charles Saddler; his stepsiblings, Wilma Arnold and Tommy Long; and his sister-in-law Wanda Buchanan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
