He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellus Baird and Nixie Lacey Baird; his wife Jackye Baird; and his siblings, Alene Champion, Hardin and Hyram Baird.

He is survived by: his children, Fran Jennings, Paul Baird of Goodwater and Steve Baird of Goodwater; his grandchildren, Bud McClure (Ashley) of Goodwater, Jeremiah Baird of Alexander City and Kristina Crow (Wayne) of Tuscaloosa; and his great grandchildren, Chandler McClure, Jayda McClure, Aubrianna Crow and Caroline Crow. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
